Assisted Lab

Assisted Lab is a a transnational research group at the University of St. Gallen. I was hired to cover India for their archive “A Living Archive of Assisted Dying,” an archive where researchers write about films, novels, and documentaries etc. that "influence the legal and political processes around assisted dying," or euthanasia, as it is also known.

I was tasked to research and write articles about India’s legal, cultural, and political relationship with assisted death, a hole in Assisted Lab’s coverage, which until then focused on the States, Canada, and Europe. This research involved analysis of films that covered assisted death in some capacity. It required going through the news coverage about the films and the cases in India. I also had to India’s political and legal evolution over a decade with respect to assisted death.

You can read the articles here.
